Word Choice Olympics

Picture 1:
After months of being separated from their father, the children were elated as they raced across the parking lot to greet him. With open arms, Lieutenant George Croson, hugs his children nearly squeezing the living day light out of them. Being away for seven months, is a lot to bear for a father; especially for a dad responsible for the lives of three precious angels. Constantly worrying about how their doing in school, in sports, and what kind of boys they talk to is all you can think about when you're away, but Mr. Croson is too busy exchanging smiles and laughter with his family to even worry about those kinds of things at the moment.

Picture 2:
At gun point, the fate of this person's life lays in your hands. Thoughts about what would happen after you pull the trigger race through your mind like neutrons scurrying within an atom. With trembling hands you begin to question how you were placed under a situation like this in the first place. Then memories of the past start to cloud your sympathy for this person because you remember how cruel and cold-hearted this person can be.  You glare into his wide worried eyes and again question your decision....to shoot? Or not to shoot?

Picture 3:
With Misty Ma'a back to serve, everyone goes dead silent as Team USA serves the ball across the net to the opposing team. The opposing team slams the ball but Healani Pender is able to dig the ball up and Ma'a swings away taking the title for this year's Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament. The spectators in the arena erupt with excitement as Team USA sweeps the competition.

Picture 4 & 5)
After a long stressful night at home, Zack was frustrated and could not focus on his school work. He started to cry louder and louder, disturbing the other students in the class. As he glanced down at his paper, he let out a deep sigh because he wasn't paying attention and didn't know how to solve the question. When Mrs. Fromille asked Zack if he was alright he continued his wailing and began to complain about how difficult the problem was.
The group of friends kicked off their summer with a visit to their favorite hangout spot, Queen's beach. After putting in work at the beach volleyball tournament earlier that day, they rented a tube and headed out to the sandbar. After Abercrombie and Fitch jumped off the tube, Gilly and Hicks felt obligated to jump off the float too. Fitch struck a pose for the camera and the girls reluctantly ran off to the edge of the tube screaming at the top of their lungs.
