Writing Standards Portfolio

Overall, I feel proud of all that I've accomplished thus far in the MeneMAC English Language Arts program. Although it does take some time to write great essays I feel very proud when I complete a difficult task. For example, during the essay portion of the KC3 project, I had a difficult time trying to write about history and my personal opinions or reasoning about specific facts. The lesson that I was able to take away from this challenge is that I need to work on sharing my thoughts through writing. My goal for next semester is to improve upon my organization skills and to find my voice when I write. There shouldn't be a reason as to why these goals are not realistic because I will work hard and continue to practice using these traits in my writing pieces throughout next semester.

Parents,
After reviewing my portfolio http://jocelynbonilla.weebly.com please reflect upon the following questions.
  1. What piece of writing did you like best in my portfolio and why?
  2. What did you like about my portfolio and sharing and what would you like to see me improve on?
  3. Which of the writing traits (ideas, organization, voice, word choice) do you feel was most successful for me?
  4. Which of the traits of writing would you like me to improve on in the coming semester?
Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy :)
